Dr David Topchian safely removes fat from where you don’t want it – and transfers it to enlarge the breasts. He has refined this technique since 2003 and has helped hundreds of women achieve their desired results.
Fat transfer is a modified version of liposuction. Fat cells (adipocytes) are carefully removed from typical areas (such as the abdomen, thighs and love handles) and then purified, concentrated and transferred to the breasts.
There is a natural absorption of about half of the fat initially injected into the breasts. Then, after around three months, the fat remains long term.
A technique refined over time
After almost 20 years of fat transfer procedures, Dr Topchian has optimised his approach to deliver a positive result and a positive experience. This includes using healing lasers both for preparation for surgery and in the postoperative period. Tiny instruments are used to delicately transfer the fragile fat cells and give them the best chance of survival.
Q & A
Why do some women prefer fat transfer?
Some women are understandably concerned about breast implants and see fat transfer as a natural alternative. There is no chance of rejection by using your tissue, and the breasts look and feel entirely natural.
While the technique is reliable and safe, it is not a complete substitute for breast implants. The degree of enlargement is more subtle than can be achieved with an implant.
