Get the Breasts You’ve Always Dreamed of This Summer!
When it comes to swimsuit season, no matter what the size of our breasts we all just want them to sit right, stay where they’re supposed to be and (fingers crossed) look good while they’re at it!
Sometimes genetics, hormones and our recovery after breastfeeding are not on our side and we need a little help to maintain our breasts, change them and pull the girls back in line. If you’re sick of tucking them, taping them, padding them and hoisting them, now is the time to chat to us about our breast enhancing procedures.
In this blog post, we discuss our numerous breast enhancing options offered by The Doctor’s Studio including breast implants, breast reduction, breast lift and tightsculpting.
Breast Implants – Go Natural or Go Large, the Choice Is Yours
Breast Implants have come a long way and are now available in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials ensuring that every patient can find an option to suit them best. Dr Topchian has performed over a thousand Breast Implants and uses the Rapid Recovery Technique meaning that patients can be out of the house and driving the following day. We have some beautiful before and after examples on our updated gallery page, take a look.
Go Back to a More Youthful Breast Position with a Breast Lift
Unfortunately, it’s inevitable that our breasts will drop to varying extremes as we age. When the nipple is below the breast crease this is called ‘Ptosis’ and can be addressed with a two-hour operation called a Mastopexy (or Breast Lift). A Breast Lift can be combined with implants for a fuller look and aims to lift the nipple position and produce a perkier looking breast. A Breast Lift can restore the breast to a more youthful position and shape, by removing skin and raising the position of the breast. The lift procedure aims to make breasts appear perkier, firmer and turn back the clock on breast ageing.
Various techniques can be used depending on patient concerns and what type of result the woman wants to achieve. The simplest technique is the peri-areolar method that leaves a scar around the nipple.
Other approaches include a vertical scar and allow for a more powerful lifting effect. The nipple is repositioned, at which time the breast tissue is remodelled to optimise shape.
Reduce the Size and Reduce Discomfort with a Breast Reduction
Large breasts, although often glorified in the media, on the contrary often cause back and neck discomfort, skin irritation and can dramatically decrease self-esteem. Surgical removal of excessive breast tissue during a Breast Reduction permanently reduces the breast bulk and improves shape.
The vertical scar technique used during a Breast Reduction leaves the least scarring, with the longest duration of effect. It is performed in a licensed day hospital under a general anaesthetic and usually takes two hours to complete. No drainage tubes are used during a Breast Reduction and in general, patients return to work in one week. Liposuction to the breast is an alternative that can, in the right circumstances, reduce breasts by a cup size on average. Liposuction is usually more suited to older women (who have a higher fat percentage in the breast).
Fat Transfer to Breast
Fat Transfer is fast becoming one of our most popular procedures, not only for the face but also for the breasts. Patients enjoy that they can slightly enlarge their breasts using their own tissue and results at the three-month mark are permanent. Fat Transfer feels and looks natural because you use your own cells and transplant them in your body.
Some of the advantages of using your own fat to increase volume are:
– There is no chance of allergic reaction to your own tissues.
– Results look and feel natural.
– Fat Transfer is cheaper than using large volumes of synthetic material.
– Your fat can be safely stored frozen and later re-injected for further treatments.
In order to consider this procedure, patients need to have adequate fat to harvest from another area of their body, preferably in a difficult to shift location.
Male Breast Reduction
It’s not only females who have concerns about their breasts. Men can also struggle with the shape of their chests, sometimes carrying excess fatty tissue, this is known as Gynecomastia (aka Man boobs or Moobs). When men’s breast tissue is overly prominent, it can result in embarrassment and restriction of social activities like swimming or exercise. Surgery to address this issue can reduce the fat through liposculpture and can also be combined with removal of excessive breast gland tissue. Men who choose to undergo a liposculpture breast reduction will have minimal scarring and return to work within 3 days.
Tightsculpting for Breast
One of our newest treatments is Tightsculpting for breasts. This non-invasive treatment firms and tightens, returning breasts to a more youthful appearance without downtime. We recommend one session every three weeks initially following with one every 6 months to maintain the results. During Tightsculpting, heat is delivered using a hand-held laser. The clinician makes numerous sweeping passes across the breast, around the nipple and across the surrounding skin of the chest and towards the armpit. Results are visible instantly.
